The Slapstick festival is a wonderful festival that takes places across Bristol in January which showcases archive silent comedy films and features some live events discussing and celebrating slapstick comedy across the years. The festival is in its 16th year and has an accredited selection of patrons including Stephan Merchant, Rob Brydon and Matt Lucas.
Harry Allmark is the Assistant Events Manager for the festival, assisting Jacqui Ham. His role is mainly recruiting scheduling and coordinating volunteers for the festival. Harry has learned a great deal about festival organisation and appreciation for silent film while networking and meeting many creatives around Bristol, working with Aardman Studios, Watershed Bristol, Bristol Old Vic and The Redgrave Theatre.
